Today is a historic day for us. During the 77th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2026) in Antalya, Türkiye, Argentina Space was recognised as a member of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF).
The membership certificate, signed by Gabriella Arrigo, President of the IAF, and Christian Feichtinger, its Executive Director, was received on our behalf by Martina Elia Vitolini, a lawyer specialising in space law, doctoral candidate at McGill University and member of Constelar, who is attending the Congress as part of her academic work.
About the IAF
Founded in 1951, the International Astronautical Federation brings together the world's leading space agencies — including NASA, ESA, JAXA and ISRO — along with companies, universities, research centres and professional societies. It organises the International Astronautical Congress, the sector's major annual gathering.

During the presentation of new members, Argentina Space's institutional video was shown in the Congress hall. Here it is:
What it means for the ecosystem
Joining the IAF connects Argentina Space — and every company, institution and student taking part — with the international space community. It endorses the work we have been doing from northern Argentina and opens the door for the region to join the global conversation on the space economy.
The first step of many
Membership is not a finish line: it is the start of an agenda with the international space community, beginning with the first edition of Argentina Space, on 11, 12 and 13 November at the Salta Convention Centre.
Thank you to Martina and Constelar for being with us in Antalya, and to every person and institution that made this possible. We celebrate it together.
