About
Fernando Filippetti is an electronic engineer from the University of Buenos Aires working at the intersection of technology development, space systems and project leadership. His technical background is in analogue electronics, radio frequency, signal processing and software-defined radio (SDR) applied to space and other demanding environments, and he has worked on CubeSat projects, spacecraft power systems and electronic instrumentation.
He leads ASTAR Aeroespacial, the aerospace technology initiative of the University of Buenos Aires School of Engineering (FIUBA), where he coordinates a multidisciplinary team that trains students on real satellite hardware. He teaches at FIUBA and is a founding partner of Propulsar, an initiative connecting Argentine space capabilities with international opportunities and organisations. At UTN-INSPT he developed a device for early, sound-based diagnosis of cystic fibrosis under an agreement with the Hospital de Clínicas.
