About
María José de Castro is a cognitive-behavioural psychologist with an integrative focus on neuropsychology and psychoneuroimmunoendocrinology (PNIE). She works on occupational mental health, stress management and decision-making in complex and extreme environments —mining, isolated communities and confinement settings—, designing and assessing evidence-based solutions that strengthen team safety, performance and resilience.
Through space psychology she studies how isolation, confinement, microgravity and sustained stress change human adaptation and performance, a natural bridge between the Puna highlands and Mars. She is a behaviour consultant at Plexus Nexus, a teaching assistant in Neurosciences at the Fundación Favaloro, and brings broad experience in talent assessment and selection at international firms such as Korn Ferry and Accenture.
